After graduating in Fashion Design at Accademia di Costume e Moda in Rome, Italo moved to Milan and completed his studies with a Master Degree in Fashion communication at Istituto europeo di design.
During that time he had the opportunity to study alongside prominent figures in the Milanese fashion system; among them Sara Sozzani Maino from Italian Vogue whom Italo started collaborating with in 2010.
Commencing in 2012, Italo worked for 3 years alongside the revered Italian stylist Sissy Vian, both at Vogue Japan and at the relaunch of the fashion magazine Flair (Mondadori) under the role of Junior Fashion Editor.
Since January 2016 Italo has held the title of Digital Fashion Editor at Vogue Italia till end of 2021. Alongside his role as a journalist, he has managed special projects for numerous luxury brands such as Giuseppe Zanotti, Max MAra, Nike, Swarovski and Tod’s. His professional affinity with Italian Vogue’s Alessia Glaviano has given Italo the possibility to collaborate with upcoming Italian photographers like Luca Anzalone, Nicolò Bagnati, Giovanni Corabi, Riccardo Dubitante, Clara Giaminardi and marco imperatore.
Between 2021 and 2023, Italo served as an art director for ATL and BTL campaigns, collaborating with esteemed clients including adidas, Aspesi, Etro, Dolce&Gabbana, Gucci, N°21, Safilo, Sergio Rossi, and Zegna. Commencing July 2023, Italo transitioned into the role of Digital Director at Harper's Bazaar Italia.
His aesthetic combines a classic Italian sense of beauty and arts with a global and modern point of view; influenced by pop culture, clubbing and gothic music.
